Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Ancient Greeks Virtual Workshops

Years 3 and 4 thoroughly enjoyed their Virtual Maidstone Museum visit last week.

Roz spoke to the children about Greek life, the Olympics, Greek architecture, pottery, Myths, Legends and Gods. The children examined artifacts from Maidstone Museum to find clues about Ancient Greek life, they learnt so much about primary sources of evidence.

This enrichment opportunity has really enhanced and deepened the children’s understanding of the Ancient Greeks and will inspire the children’s pottery designs.

Pupils said the following:

“It was good fun and enjoyable and it made our knowledge more sticky!!” Jasmine.

“I liked the objects, especially the wax ones!” Arabella.

“I likes all the cool items they showed.” Leila.
