I am Miss Matthews and I am the the SRP Teacher and SEN Co-ordinator at VIPS Holborough Lakes. I have previous experience working with children and families with a wide range of needs.I am passionate about supporting children so that they feel happy and safe and are able to achieve their best learning. I can also speak languages including Spanish and Russian.
We are keen to support all of our children and families and have access to a range of services and are always happy to give ideas and strategies to support both you and your child/ren.
Miss Nicola Draper, SEN Admin Assistant, is your first point of call in the school, n.draper@holboroughlakes.viat.org.uk, and she is happy to talk through any issues you may be facing.
Areas that we can offer support with include but are not limited to:
- Courses, workshops and drop-in groups
- Access to groups in the local community
- Engaging parents in their child’s learning
- Developing confidence to engage in school life
- Early Help Assessments
- General information and advice.
We can also provide support for referrals to the School Health Service for mental health and wellbeing concerns.
Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service for families
Kent Community Health offers a counselling service for all school age children (4-19 years). Referrals can be made by parents for the following areas of concern:
