Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Years 3 and 4 Anglo-Saxon Day

On Thursday, Year 3 and 4 were Anglo-Saxons for the day. We started by making our own paint out of fruit! We used this paint to create medieval letters.

We used runes to write secret messages to our friends. In the afternoon, we had a battle using javelins and shields we had made.

We also tried some Anglo-Saxon stew made only from the vegetables that Anglo-Saxons grew!
