Don't let the weather get you down!
Although today brings the first day in May, for many this week has been a week of challenges. With the turn in the weather, it can be difficult to stay motivated and engaged. We can develop ‘cabin fever’ and it is difficult to see the wood from the trees. Some days can really test our patience, whist others bring unexpected joys. I have been blessed to see some amazing work on Class Dojo this week. Evelyn and Charlie, have been busy collecting sticks on their daily walks and produced this amazing heart, which represents lockdown in the Parson’s household!
Looking forward to next week, we remember the people who made incredible sacrifices over 75 years ago, to protect our county. The 8th May 2020 will mark 75 years since VE (Victory in Europe) Day when the Second World War came to an end in Europe. A national holiday was declared so that people from all walks of life would mark this moment together. Sadly, we will not be coming together as a community, but we, at VIPS Holborough Lakes, did not want this event to go by without some form of celebration. Therefore, we will be asking each child to create an image, picture or decorate a Union Jack and send it to their child’s class teacher. We will then collate these and share all the masterpieces as a montage on our website.

I would like to end my weekly blog with a quote that Mr Tom shared with us, earlier on in the week.
So even if it is raining, pop on your wellies and enjoy jumping in those muddy puddles; I guarantee it will put a smile on your face!
