More great home learning
So, as we end a week, that has brought pain and upset but also hope and an appreciation for our amazing NHS https://twitter.com/ashleymoorman/status/1243271775905030145?s=12.
I hope you were able to join in with a round of applause to show your gratitude and respect for those staff on the front line. I continue to be in awe of the amount of people who show generosity and kindness and go out of their way, to ensure the most vulnerable are protected.
This is a wonderful opportunity to think of ways we could extend an act of kindness, such as writing a postcard to a distant relative, painting a picture for an elderly neighbour or saving 10p a day to donate to a charity, during this lockdown period.
In home learning news, Year Five have been working hard this week and continue to improve their knowledge of natural disasters and earthquakes.
Yannai has built an earthquake proof house: “My building is earthquake proof because it has a pole in the middle of the house so it can move with the earth. This technology was used over 1000 years ago in Japan when they built the Pagoda in Kyoto. The Pagoda is Japan’s tallest wooden building.”
In the meantime, we are thinking of you always. Please stay in touch. Keep sharing your learning and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for some weekly challenges for you and your family to join in with.
