Brilliant learning!
It has been another busy day for the children at VIPS Holborough Lakes! The children have been doing some amazing learning, such as growing bacteria and creating posters about dental hygiene. Many children have been taking physical activity very seriously and working out daily with Joe Wicks. I have to say, this is a fantastic way to start the morning and my daughter, who has been participating daily, would concur.
Well done to Oliver and Sophia, I think Oliver wins the competition for most active in this shot! I challenge Sophia to beat her brother tomorrow.
Many children have also been using this opportunity to learn new skills such as: cookery, sewing and learning to play an instrument. Also, the children have been upskilling the teachers; Maisie has taught Mr Martin how to put an animal into a photo. Her dog Lola is sitting on the sofa with a lion! One lovely task Mrs Martin set for her class was to hide ‘happy notes’ around the home, for family members to find. It is wonderful to see the children using our core value of understanding and linking it to kindness.
Mason, in Year 6, hasn’t stopped improving his maths skills. I think parents all around the country are using Google and YouTube to their full capacity! What is this ‘bar method thingy?’ I hear you say!
So, to end my blog today...
