Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Anti Bullying Week 2022 - Reach Out

Anti-Bullying Week 2022 is coordinated in England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. It will take place from 14 to 18 November 2022 and has the theme
‘Reach Out’.

At Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes, we work in partnership with UNICEF, the Rights of the child. Therefore, we will be focusing on respect, which is our core value for term 2.

If any child would like to be involved in creating a kindness jar, please see below for
further details.

Task:
Imagine a world where everyone is kind How can we make that come true? Can you think of any ways to be kind? This could include ways to be kind to your family, friends, others in your community, animals and the world. There are lots of great ways we can be all be kinder What can you do to be kind today? Why don’t you make a list and challenge
yourself (and your family) to do as many things as you can? Why not encourage
kindness at home by making your own Kindness Jar? All you need is an empty jar and
some slips of paper. Decorate your jar using any materials you have home. On each slip of paper write down an act of kindness that you and your family could do. Add all your slips into the jar and pick one act of kindness each day.


The children can bring these in on 14 November to share with their class and teachers.
Children can also post their work on Class Dojo.
