Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Refugee Day

On Thursday, Years 3 and 4 took part in an immersive experience and became a refugee for the day! They started the day by working with their friends to create a tent as a base for the morning. The children showed such great teamwork, and it was so interesting to see the different tent designs they came up with! 

Prizes were awarded for the most creative tents and best teamwork. Activities were set up around the field such as toss the caber and human noughts and crosses. Children then got into teams to play matches of capture the flag. To finish the morning, we ate lunch in our tents.

It was a brilliant experience and gave the children an insight into how it might feel being a refugee.
