Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

School Games Awards!

Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes has been recognised with two certificates from School Games – the Recognition and Virtual awards.

The school achieved the accolades as a result of ‘fantastic things happening’ and because ‘pupils have been provided with lots more additional opportunities to keep active whilst at home’.

Headteacher, Lisa Vickers, said: “We are thrilled to have been given these two awards from School Games. Our staff, and in particular our sports lead, Mrs Hetherington, have tried really hard to make sure all our pupils have been active during lockdown and the summer holidays so far. We know how important exercise is for general health and wellbeing so wanted to do everything possible to make sure our pupils are supported and encouraged at all times, whether they are in school or not.”
