Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Author (and dragon) visit

Children, teachers and parents were thrilled to meet the children’s author, M.P. Robertson during our Book Week celebrations.

He showed his stunning illustrations and gave the whole school a ‘master class’ on how to draw a dragon.

The children were stunned when they saw video evidence that the author’s pet, a fire breathing dragon, had escaped and terrified two teachers on the playground!

A very well attended book signing finished a memorable day.
