Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

First Aid for Families Course

Miss Waters has arranged a First Aid for Families Course starting on 13th January 2020.

This course will be delivered by ‘Adult Education’ on:

  • 13 January 2020
  • 20 January 2020
  • 27 January 2020

All the courses will run from 9.30am to 11.30am in the School Hall. (You are required to attend all three of the two hour sessions to complete this course and be awarded your certificate).

The course covers the following elements:

  • The emergency procedure and making an emergency phone call.
  • How to place a casualty into the recovery position. 
  • How to use the primary survey.
  • How to recognise and treat choking.
  • How to treat and monitor bleeding, minor bruising and burns.
  • How to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). If you are interested in a free place on this course then please contact the school office or speak to Miss Waters to book.
