Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

100% in SATs for Year 6!

Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes has achieved 100% across all categories for the percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard nationally in recent Key Stage 2 SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests).

The Key Stage 2 tests, which pupils take in Year 6, test Reading, Writing, Maths and SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar).

Nationally, the target for the percentage of pupils meeting the standard was set at 73% for Reading, 78% for Writing, 79% for Maths and 78% for SPAG.

100% of pupils at Holborough Lakes met these targets with a third or more also achieving ‘Greater Depth’ across all areas.

Deputy Headteacher and teacher of Year 6 at Holborough Lakes, Billy Harrington, said: “I am absolutely thrilled for the Year 6 children.  These results are testament to their hard work and they should be congratulated for the huge efforts they made.”

Head Teacher of the school, Lisa Vickers said: “These results show the determination of our children, and staff, to do their best in every challenge given to them.  I am so pleased their hard work paid off and got them the fantastic results they all deserve.”
