Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Nurture Award

Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes is delighted to have been given the National Nurturing Schools Award (NNSA).

The award is evidence of a school’s success in implementing and embedding a nurturing culture that responds to the social, emotional and mental health needs of its pupils, alongside their academic studies.

The award therefore helps a school to demonstrate its achievements in this area – for example to school inspectors – or to promote this work to current or prospective parents of its pupils.

The final report said: 'Valley Invicta Primary School (at Holborough Lakes) celebrates kindness. In addition to celebrating it, they also employ a variety of distinct and unique strategies
to support their pupils develop kindness. The school's aim is to build kind, caring, global
citizens. Their application, evidence file and assessment visit all provided opportunities
for the school to showcase their approach to nurture and ultimately celebrate kindness in
their school.'

Well done to everyone involved in securing this wonderful award.
