Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Hedgehog Award!

We are delighted to announce that Valley Invicta Primary School at Holbrough Lakes has achieved the Hedgehog Friendly Campus Gold Award for 2023/4.

The award is given by the British Hedgehog Preservation Society to schools and colleges who complete actions from their hedgehog-friendly toolkit.

Hedgehogs are vulnerable to extinction in Britain, due to habitat loss, development, roads and garden hazards. There are now thought to be fewer than one million hedgehogs left.

We are thrilled to have achieved this important award!
