Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

PGQM Gold Award

Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes has been given the GOLD Primary Geogrophy Quality Mark!

The award is given by the Geopgraphical Association for leading the development of geography) and recognises excellence and innovation in geography throughout the school.

The report said:

"You have developed a fantastic geography curriculum that you are rightly very proud of. Evidence of your approach to your curriculum design, planning, teaching and learning, and assessment processes are of a high quality. PGQM Gold Hub schools consistently make a 'contribution to the wider geography community'. It would be wonderful to see you taking the next steps in creating more ‘geographers of the future’ outside of your immediate setting.

"We are delighted to award Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes the Gold PGQM and hope that you will see this as an appropriate award for all of your efforts in gathering together the evidence of what is clearly a high quality geography curriculum. We hope that this will provide additional incentive for continuing to work with your community, sharing your children’s wonderful achievements."
