Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Kent School Award for Resilience

We are delighted to announce that Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes has achieved its Kent Award as a Resilient School.

The Kent School Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing is awarded in recognition of a school's commitment to supporting wellbeing. This is of course a priority for us as a school and we were able to showcase our provision and show what wellbeing means for us in the following areas: 

  • Leadership and Management; 
  • Curriculum Teaching and Learning; 
  • Student Voice; 
  • Staff Development; 
  • Identifying Need and Monitoring the Impact of Intervention; 
  • Parents and Carers; 
  • Targeted Support and Appropriate Referral;
  • Ethos and Environment. 

It is a wonderful achievement for us to have our hard work in supporting the wellbeing of all members of our school community and we will proudly display the plaque in school! 

Supporting the emotional wellbeing and resilience of young people has never been more important and we will continue to ensure it’s an absolute priority at Holborough Lakes.
